Volkswagen Caddy
New Volkswagen Caddy is presented in Europe

The new Volkswagen Caddy has just been unveiled in Dusseldorf, Germany. The German brand model is one of the most popular SUVs in Europe. In this fifth generation, the Caddy uses the MQB platform, the same as popular passenger cars around the world, such as Golf.
This base is modular and in Brazil it is used in models such as the Polo hatch and the Virtus sedan, for example. Among the highlights of the new Volkswagen Caddy is the look, reminiscent of that of German brand cars. This is the case of the front grille, integrated with the bumper, and the optical assembly.
These attributes gave the new Volkswagen Caddy a more sporty style. Still, the utility characteristics were maintained. In relation to the previous model, the roof was lowered.
The curvature of the ceiling, in turn, is more pronounced. The manufacturer's objective was to improve aerodynamics, which contributes to reducing fuel consumption. According to information from the manufacturer, the new Caddy is up to 12% cheaper than the previous one.

Volkswagen Caddy has two versions
As in the past generation, the new Volkswagen Caddy is offered in two versions. The entrance, called just Caddy, is 4.5 meters long, 1.85 m wide and 1.79 m high.
The top configuration, Caddy Maxi, is slightly larger. It is 4.59 m long and 1.91 m wide. The two options of the utility have the same height.
Volkswagen did not reveal the payload capacity of the new generation of the van. But it is expected that the volume will be higher than the previous one, which was 800 kg.

The engine is new
There are three engine options: diesel, gasoline and natural gas. The 2.0 turbodiesel engine of the new Volkswagen Caddy has three power versions: 75 hp, 102 hp and 122 hp. And to meet pollutant emission standards in Europe, the four-cylinder has AdBlue.
This system is equivalent to SCR, which stands for Selective Catalytic Reduction. Thanks to this solution, the Volkswagen Caddy does not require the use of the Arla 32.
The gasoline engine is a 1.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 116 horsepower. The compressed natural gas (CNG) version has a mechanical compressor and 130 hp power.
