Arctic Trucks upgrades the Navara AT32

Arctic Trucks, known for building rough and tough off road rigs, has given the Nissan Navara yet another update. The latest result of their partnership is the truck you see here: the Off-Roader AT32. For this model, though, while the focus remains on off-road capability, it was also tailored to be efficient and better to drive.
“The Nissan Navara Off-Roader AT32 was a sell-out success and proved incredibly popular with adventurers seeking elegance and toughness. We have upgraded the Off-Roader AT32 so it can maintain its position as the ultimate Navara while bringing new efficiency and becoming fully WLTP compliant. It’s the perfect blend of in-car technology, comfort and extreme off-road performance,” said Manuel Burdiel, General Manager Europe, LCV Sales and Business Development.
Perhaps the most important update, or upgrade for that matter, is the full underbody shielding installed by Arctic. While their Navara builds always had one, they have opted to use lightweight aluminum material for this version. They were able to mold its shape to better ensure more comprehensive protection for underbody components.



Unique to the Off-Roader is a new set of Nokian tires on all for corners. While being used off-trail, Arctic claims that these improve both emissions and fuel economy. The truck also comes with special satin black alloy wheels are fitted with dual valves to allow the fast and accurate adjustment of tyre pressure when moving between different terrains.
That goes without saying that the AT32 is still an attractive pickup. Features carried over from the previous version include bespoke all-terrain wheel arch extensions and all-terrain optimised Bilstein performance suspension. The model is also finished off with special badging on the front wings, arch extensions, side steps, wheel centers, tailgate and mud guards that are likewise carried over.



Back to its original purpose, Arctic does have a slew of other optional parts to make your travels off the beaten track better. The optional accessories include an electronic lock for the front differential to boost traction in extreme conditions, as well as an air intake snorkel which increases the Navara’s maximum wading depth to a massive 800mm.
Last year we saw the release of the Nissan Navara N-Warrior; but it's not anywhere near the Arctic Trucks version of the Navara AT32 which we drove in Morocco a year ago.
