Despite the triumph in today's stage, the four holes that Giniel de Villiers suffered yesterday led him to delay 23m16s by what is now positioned in the sixth place of the general at 12m04s from the front.
Khalid Al-Qassimi did something similar, as an incredible series of holes near the end of Stage One caused him to be late when he had been well in the early stages, even leading the race. Today, he was third in the stage and rose to seventh place in the overall.
After second place in the initial stage of the race, Stéphane Peterhansel and Paulo Fiúza (Mini Buggy) had a complicated day today, as they were only nonos in the stage, having fallen, so to the eighth place in the overall now 13m17s from Terranova.
Bad luck doesn't leave Yazeed al-Rajhi. Yesterday, it was only eighth to 11: 46s from the front after problems in the initial phase of the tirade, and today, after having led the test for a good part of the stage, it had problems near the end and with that it maintained the same position in the overall, the ninth place, and is now further from the front.
The closing of the top 10 is Bernhard Ten Brinke (Toyota), immediately in front of Beneditkas Vanagas, who with Filipe Palmeiro beside (Toyota) are 11th overall, having risen four positions, having recovered seven minutes for the race leader against the previous day.
The following are general Vladimi Vasyliev (Mini), Martin Prokop (Ford Raptor) and Nani Roma (Borgward).
As we know, Fernando Alonso (Toyota) was stopped around the 160 km of the special. The Spaniard was making a good shot, he was third at Km52, fourth at Km 104, but he was late after breaking a suspension arm of his Toyota Hilux by hitting a rock.
