DAKAR 2020

STAGE 9: STÉPHANE PETERHANSEL WINS AND NASSER AL-ATTIYAH IS 15 SECONDS AWAY.

A close step to the end. Stéphane Peterhansel, sailed by Paulo Fiúza led the way on Nasser Al-Attiyah.
The Frenchman always rotated at the top of the table, but always had the “company” of Al-Attiyah, who never let his opponent escape. The longest distance between them was 52 seconds. which shows the progress evidenced by this duo. In third place was Yasir Seaidan a little less than five minutes away from the men in the front, after a stage in which he presented a very strong rhythm. Jakub Przygoński was fourth and Carlos Sainz closed the top5, having minimized losses after falling into the ranking midway through the stage.

Stéphane Peterhansel continues to Lead Stage 9 of Dakar 2020, with Nasser Al-Attiyah now 52 seconds away.
The French continues at the front of the stage and managed to “escape” slightly from Al-Attiyah, now with an advantage of almost a minute. Jakub Przygoński is third, more than four minutes away and Carlos Sainz is down to sixth.
Mathieu Serradori is more than 14 minutes away from leader Stéphane Peterhansel, which means the winner of yesterday's stage is having a much less positive day.
With Stage 9 almost over, the fight in the front continues, with Stéphane Peterhansel in front of Nasser Al-Attiyah.

ETAPA9: STÉPHANE PETERHANSEL does not leave first place

The duo has fought along the stage and the distance is 48 seconds between the two. Peterhansel has remained in front, but Al-Attiyah does not disarm and continues to press. Jakub Przygoński has not been able to narrow the differences and continues to close the top 3, now almost five minutes away from the leader.
Fernando Alonso has not been able to keep up with the pace of the men in the front and is taking a much more discreet stage, while his compatriot Carlos Sainz, who started the day well, failed to make up for the five-minute delay suffered in the middle of the stage.
