DACIA bets on GLP

Dacia presented its new ECO-G engine at the recent Brussels Fair, a name that applies to bi-fuel solutions capable of indiscriminately burning gasoline or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). And there are several advantages of this gas, both for the stock exchange and for the environment, enjoying the fact that a distribution network already exists in Portugal.
The new TEC 100 ECO-G engine(image above) is a three-cylinder engine that inherits everything from the modern Tec 100 to the gasoline of the Renault Group, although it is adapted to also consume LPG. Among the advantages offered by this bi-fuel mechanics are the costs, since LPG is substantially cheaper and, even consumed in higher quantities, always guarantees considerable savings.
The other advantage of LPG is that it has the lowest environmental impact. Without as much fuel gain as natural gas, LPG can still emit 10% less carbon dioxide (CO2) than a gasoline-like engine.
The new 100 Tec ECO-G engine will be available to us from the beginning of February, included in the Duster, Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan and Logan MPV ranges. The brand recalls that there are more than 15 million LPG vehicles in Europe and 26 million worldwide.
