Company creates bespoke Red Phantom to help fight AIDS

Rolls-Royce is celebrating its 115th anniversary with the creation of a 1-off  Red Phantom that will be auctioned off to help fund the fight against AIDS.
“We’re so grateful to Rolls-Royce for donating profits from the Red Phantom to help with the fight to end AIDS,” said Jennifer Lotito, Chief Operating Officer, (RED). “We need all forces mobilized against this pandemic which is the leading cause of death among young women.”
Available for auction online with Sotheby’s and RM Sotheby’s, the bespoke 2019 Rolls-Royce Phantom will receive bids between Dec. 4 and 13 at sothebys.com, with proceeds going to benefit (RED), the global AIDS charity. The car will be revealed Dec. 4 at a gala event at One Thousand Museum during Miami Beach’s Art Basel.

The top bidder will have the chance to work with acclaimed contemporary artist Mickalene Thomas to create a custom wrap for the ultra-luxury sedan based on an original work inspired by the car,

The exterior features a bespoke finish of Magma Red finished with crystals suspended in the final layers of the finish, creating a unique luminescence.The handcrafted bespoke interior in Brilliant Arctic White leather carries on the red theme with Mugello Red highlights and piping, the iconic “Shooting Starlight” headliner also in Mugello Red, and Red Regatta Sails highlighting the instrument panel.
