LE MANS 2019

Toyota wins the 24h of Le Mans for the second consecutive time

After several hours of leading the Toyota TS050-Hybrid # 7 of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez, it turned out to be the Toyota TS050-Hybrid # 8 of Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso to win, in the one that is the Toyota's second consecutive victory in the 24 hours of Le Mans. A slow bore an hour to the end, a team error with an error reading the sensors, a going to boxing and the leader change. After so many hours up front, it's certainly frustrating for Toyota's # 7 men.
Third place for BR Engineering BR1-Aer # 11 from Vitaly Petrov's SMP Racing, Mikhail Aleshin and Stoffel Vandoorne, who finished six laps. Fourth place for Rebellion R13 - Gibson # 1 from Rebellion Racing by Neel Jani, André Lotterer and Bruno Senna, who finished in front of their teammates in Rebellion R13 - Gibson # 3 by Thomas Laurent, Nathanaël Berthon and Gustavo Menezes.
Sixth place for the winner of the LMP2, the Alpine A470 - Gibson # 36 of the Signatech Alpine Matmut of Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrao and Pierre Thiriet, who were WEC champions, finishing a lap in front of Oreca 07 - Gibson # 38 of Jackie Chan Dc Racing by Ho-Pin Tung, Stéphane Richelmi and Gabriel Aubry.
Third place for François Perrodo's Oreca 07-Gibson # 28 of TDS Racing, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Loïc Duval, who also got a lap, with Ligier JSP217-Gibson # 22 from United Autosports, Philip Hanson, Filipe Albuquerque and Paul Di It remains to be finished fourth after a good recovery during the race.
In the LM GTE PRO, after so much balance over the 24 Hours, triumph for the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo # 51 of Alessandro Pier Guidi's AF Corse, James Calado and Daniel Serra, who finished 49.193s in front of the Porsche 911 RSR # 91 of the Porsche GT Team of Richard Lietz, Gianmaria Bruni and Frédéric Makowiecki. 17,964 later finished the Porsche 911 RSR # 93 also of the Porsche GT Team of Patrick Pilet, Earl Bamber and Nicholas Tandy. The BMW M8 GTE # 82 from BMW Team Mtek of Augusto Farfus, António Félix Da Costa and Jesse Krohn finished in 11th place after many suspension problems, which not only delayed the team, especially in the middle of the night, as it forced them to reduce very much in order to ensure that they came to an end. Finally, the LMGTE Am, the only class that had three distinct brands on the podium. He won the Keating Motorsports Ford GT # 85 by Ben Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Felipe Fraga, who finished 44.943s in front of the Porsche 911 RSR # 56 from Team Project 1 by Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Lindsey and Egidio Perfetti. JMW Motorsport's Ferrari 488 # 84 by Jeffrey Segal, Rodrigo Baptista and Wei Lu closed the podium, finishing up another 44.184s of second place, with Pedro Lamy leaving the race early in the morning with problems in the Aston Martin Vantage # 98, which was already very late due to mechanical countermeasures.
A poor edition for two Portuguese, and positive for Albuquerque, with a fourth place in the LMP2. Pedro Lamy eventually quit and António Félix da Costa finished 11th in the LM GTE Pro category. José Luis Abreu, de Portugal/Mundoquatrorodas
