Further details of the new Ford Fiesta R5

M-Sport and Ford introduced the new Ford Fiesta R5. After six years of great success and about 300 chassis running, the time has come for a new car, because the competitive 'market' forces it. With the fascia set high by Skoda, who already has the new Evo running, it remains to wait for what will get the new car.
The heritage is heavy, but the new Ford Fiesta R5 features improvemen
ts in all areas. The 1.6 turbocharged engine delivers 294 hp and 475 Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM. The direct injection system has a 32 mm restrictor, and according to M-Sport the engine provides a significant improvement in response and maneuverability. The new suspension includes adjustable, redesigned McPherson struts three-way Reiger brand.

The new aluminum shock absorbers save considerable weight and the geometry has been remodeled to optimize the traction and stability of the car.
The five-speed sequential gearbox is the latest from Sadev.
The car should debut in the WRC in the Rally Finland, and is not yet confirmed with that driver, and before that runs in Ypres with Eric Camilli. José Luis Abreu, direto de Portugal
