Brand reveals new Mustang update

A few hours from the start of the New York Salon, the blue oval brand has revealed one of the biggest surprises it will be showing at the Javits Center, the Ford Mustang High Performance Package, a powerful new high-performance version of the pony-car equipped with the engine EcoBoost.
Ford has unveiled all the information and official photos of the Mustang High Performance Package, which ranks between the EcoBoost model and the 8-cylinder GT version, so it does not replace any version, in fact it is a complement in the family of the muscle car. This version will be available as a coupe and convertible, as well as a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic. Different than many people thought, this version did not retake the legendary acronym SVO but adopted a name more in accordance with its engine and features.
Under the hood, the Ford Mustang High Performance Package features a unique version of the 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine that received a new turbo and other small improvements, courtesy of Ford Performance, and thanks to that the power is at 335 hp and a torque of 475 Nm. In addition it receives an exhaust system with four outputs and the Active Valve Performance system. The GT version featured, in addition to the aforementioned exhaust system, some suspension elements and four-piston brake calipers, plus steering, ABS and traction control were recalibrated to offer a much more exciting ride. It also has 19-inch wheels specific to this version.
The exterior of the sports car benefits from a new front splitter, new grille, discreet black stripes on the hood, specific emblems and a few specific aerodynamic elements, among them the side skirts and the discreet aerofoil placed on the trunk lid. In this case, the external mirror housings received the same black tone. In addition, the coupe version can optionally incorporate the Handling Package, which includes new 19-inch wheels wedged with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, Torsen limited slip differential on the rear and MagneRide shock absorbers.
