Tucks Step 2: Eduard Nikolaev sums up and follows

Eduard Nikolaev won the second stage of the Dakar in the truck section, and showed that he is coming to win the third Dakar in a row. The Russian rider takes two in two - last year won three stages - and won 2.39s to Gerard de Rooy, one of his main rivals. In third place was Dmitry Sotnikov, at 5.28s.
In the overall standings, Nikolaev has already 4.23s advantage for de Rooy, while in third place is Federico Villagra, at 7.23s. The pilot was fourth on stage.
Earlier Eduard Nikolaev was first in the middle of the second stage of the Dakar after the WP4. The Russian rider has 37 points ahead of Gerard de Rooy. Dmitry Sotnikov is third, 1.45 seconds ahead. Federico Villagra is making the fourth time, 2.55s out of the fastest time.
