AUDI
Could this be the brand's new logo
The QuattroWorld website, as its name implies, is well-versed in everything related to Audi, he said that the Ingolstadt manufacturer may be considering changing the image for which it is known: the four interlocking rings. On the basis of this assumption is the fact that the manufacturer has registered patents for two new logos in the USA and Germany. In common, the two drawings have only the fact of interpreting the four rings in a very peculiar way, because if in one of the sketches the presence of the rings is suggested only by the contour, in the other the connection is made to the center, through lines that evoke the intersection of two rings. It may be that this movement has to do with an update of the emblem of the brand itself, but also nothing prevents us from being faced with sketches designed for a future subway, electric or autonomous vehicles. And the way the registration was made only adds to the riddle, because the logos are described as something to designate "vehicles and structural parts, radiator grills" - which serves either one of two hypotheses. It should be remembered that Audi, like its German rivals, is also embracing the challenge of electrification. But while BMW has its 'division' of trams in the 'i' and Mercedes prepares to introduce the new 'EQ' family, Audi - which is already marketing its first 100% electric model, the SUV e-tron - so far has not advanced to the creation of a sub, although it is known that new zero emission proposals are on the way.On the other hand, from time to time it is normal for manufacturers to refresh their image with an update of the emblem. Audi itself has already done so, with the last 'scramble' being in 2009. At a time when connectivity is singled out as one of the pillars of tomorrow's cars, it may be that the four-ring mark is already in position to have a logo closer to the cloud or interconnected. There is no other choice but to wait until this 'mystery' is resolved.
