GM CORVETTE SVE YENKO/SC STAGE II OF 1.014CV

SVE (Specialty Vehicle Engineering), the company that currently uses the name and brand of Don Yenko under license, has presented a new package for its already extreme conversion of the Chevrolet Corvette, the new Sven Yenko / SC Stage II Corvette, which performance of the V8 push-rod engine up to spectacular 1,014 hp (1,000 hp).This pack is identical to that used in the Yenko / SC Stage II Camaro SVE, which complements but does not replace the previous package presented by the company, Stage I, which has had numerous changes made to the V8, which include raising the displacement and adding a compressor, multiplying the original power of the 6.2-liter LT-1 V8 block up to 811 hp.This new EVS package modifies the original aspirated engine with numerous new internal elements, several of them taken from the supercharged V8 LT-4, plus a huge 2.9-liter compressor. These modifications make the displacement increase up to 6.8 liters and the efficiency goes from the original 466 hp and 630 Nm of torque to brutal 1,014 hp and 1,186 Nm of maximum torque. This pack has the official guarantee of EVS, which is 1 year or 12,000 miles (19,312 kilometers).


The new Stage II package is not available for any Corvette, since it is necessary to have a Corvette C7 Grand Sport equipped with the optional package Z07. From this base the SVE carries out all the mechanical and chassis modifications, which is duly reinforced to be able to account for all the available cavalry. In addition, there are some aesthetic touches typical of the brand.The price of this new package is not exactly cheap, has a cost of 69,000 dollars in the United States, and it is necessary to add the price of the Corvette Grand Sport Coupe manual, which is $ 74,585 with the optional Z07 package. But if the customer wants an automatic transmission, the cost of the EVS kit rises to $ 78,000. The kit is available for both the Corvette Grand Sport Coupe and its convertible version.

With the presentation of this new pack, SVE confirmed that it has signed an agreement with the brand itself, so that from now on both this kit and the rest of the products of the Yenko brand, also available for the Camaro and Silverado, may be purchased from any official Chevrolet dealer in the United States. But this new 1,010-hp Yenko / SC Stage II kit will not be available in California as it can not be approved in that US state for failing to meet emission limits, so they must comply with Stage I packages.
