HENNESSEY

Venom F5: more than 1600 CV of force
The "Monterrey Car Week" and the "Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance" have been the stage for the revelation of novelties behind novelties, opting to want to steal the protagonism of the great international salons. After the Bugatti Divo, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the Audi PB18 and the Mercedes EQ SIlver Arrow, it was the turn of a North American company, known for its eccentricities regarding the personalization and "poisoning" of Ford models and other brands or of own productions, launch a supersport. Or rather ... the engine of this super-disposition.

The car is called Hennessey Venom F5, the engine is the TwinTurbo 7.6 liter V8 with more than 1600 hp. This propeller will allow, complains Hennessey, that the Venom F5 is capable of being "the first road car capable of exceeding 300 mph" anything like 482 km / h! To do this, as Hennessey, the boss of Hennessey Performance Engineering recognizes, requires "a huge engine with overwhelming performance and that's exactly what we've done."

The block is a 7.6-liter V8 that powered by a pair of gigantic turbochargers reaches the 1600 hp and 1760 Nm of torque. Wow !! Let's put these figures in perspective: the Bugatti Divo displays 1480 hp and 1600 Nm of torque, extracted from the W16 block with 8 liters of displacement, being limited to 380 km / h.

The Hennessey block is made of aluminum with steel shirts (for greater reliability, of course), has a compression of 9.3: 1 and stainless steel heads.

More details have not been advanced, but a willing John Hennessey said he "is very confident in the success" of his creation and even confided that 15 of the 24 available Venom F5 have already been pumped. There are only nine left to exhaust this very special car.

It remains to be seen whether the Hennessey Venom F5 can even reach 482 km / h. It is known that the car uses a lot of carbon fiber and that the final weight should be below 3 ml pounds, or 1338 kilograms. If so, John Hennessey trusts that the 482 km / h will be reached and that the F5 Venim will achieve, from 0-300 km / h (yes ... 300 km / h!) A time under 10 seconds. The 400 km / h will be achieved in less than 30 seconds and the 482 in about 40 seconds. For now they are just figures, we will see what the venom F5 will be able to do when ready.
