TRUMP ORDER BOYCOTT A BRAND
US President Donald Trump on Sunday urged a boycott of Harley-Davidson motorcycles if the company made a decision to transfer part of its production to Europe.
Leaders of the American flagship brand announced at the end of June that they intend to transfer part of their production destined for that market to Europe.
The decision was taken to avoid raising tariffs from 6% to 31% for branded products entering European soil in retaliation for the customs duties set by Washington on steel and aluminum imports.
"Several owners of Harley-Davidson motorcycles predicted a boycott of the company if production goes abroad." Trump tweeted, adding that the brand "made a very bad decision."
Europe is Harley-Davidson's second-largest market behind the United States.
