MERCEDES PRODUCTION EQC WILL BE PRESENTED SOON

At the end of the European summer we can finally see the definitive appearance of the first electric crossover of the German brand, the new Mercedes-Benz EQC, the first model of Daimler's new line of pure EQ electric cars. His presentation will take place in Stockholm on 4 September, on the occasion of the @me Convention in the Swedish capital.Although this is the first, it will not be precisely the latest act of presentation of the new German electric crossover. After the Swedish event, the EQC will be shown to the public during the Paris Salon 2018, which will take place a month later, from October 4 to 14, and a few weeks later, from November 30 to December 10, will be at the brand stand at the Los Angeles 2018 Show. This last event will be very important, as it will coincide with the presentation of other electric models, such as the first prototypes of the Rivian Automotive project and the new Audi e-tron quattro, which will be presented only a few days after the EQC. California will be one of its main objectives, since it is one of the most important markets of the planet for the segment of electric vehicles. The new Mercedes-Benz EQC was advanced by the Generation EQ prototype unveiled exactly at the last edition of the Paris Motor Show in 2016. This already had a clear crossover profile and although its traits were own of a concept, already advanced the lines of the version of production. The German brand has already confirmed for months that the new Mercedes-Benz EQC will start production in 2019, so after its submission later this year, it is expected to reach the first dealers during the first half of 2019. But this has not yet been confirmed by the brand. The new German electric SUV will be based on the brand's new EVA platform, developed specifically for this new generation of pure electric models. Technically we can not confirm much, but we know that according to versions, the new EQC can count on up to two electric motors (one in each axis) and that the maximum power of the most powerful version will be around 400-500 hp. Its battery pack sits between the axles on the platform floor, and is expected to announce a range of 500 kilometers.
