Skoda Kodiaq RS on tests at the Nürburgring circuit
Skoda is currently developing the Kodiaq RS. The Czech brand has published a teaser image indicating that the model is currently testing the Nürburgring circuit, which means that it is already at a very advanced stage of the development process. It will be Skoda's first SUV to integrate with its sports line. The Kodiaq RS will share some aesthetic elements with the Sportline version, however it will be distinguished by its own details. The front will display the insignia "RS", a specific grille and a revised bumper. The side profile will be marked by exclusive alloy wheels that will not hide the ostensible brake calipers, while the rear will have exhaust outlets similar to the Octavia RS.
In terms of mechanics, the most radical version of Kodiaq will have a TDI tetracylindrical 2.0-liter engine capable of developing 240 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The block will be associated with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS will be presented to the public later this year. The Paris Motor Show, which takes place in October, is singled out as one of the favorite scenarios for the debut of the new SUV.Vasco Reis-Sportauto, de Portugal
