BAOJUN E100 HAS BEEN UPDATED IN CHINA

In August 2017 the Baojun E100 was introduced to the public, a small electric car created exclusively for the Chinese market. Its development was possible thanks to the collaboration that General Motors maintains with its local partners in China, SAIC being one of them. Now, almost a year after its release, GM decided to upgrade its most affordable electric vehicle and that so many references generated to the Smart ForTwo.

It turns out that it is undeniable that the new Baojun E100 mimics the concept of the Smart EQ ForTwo. An urban A segment car with two seats and compact dimensions that make it perfect for driving around the center of a big city where traffic problems and parking shortages are the norm. All this together with the advantages and benefits of using a fully electric mechanic.

The main improvement suffered by the Baojun E100 with this upgrade is the increase in autonomy. While the previous version set an approximate range of 155 kilometers, the new E100 incorporates batteries of greater capacity that allow you to announce 200 miles of autonomy on a single charge. However, this is not the only improvement, although it is the most relevant.

The standard equipment of the Baojun E100 has been enhanced with interesting elements such as Bluetooth, pedestrian detection system with warning, as well as a smart block of the cargo port. The most complete version of the entire line also enhances your equipment with external rearview mirrors for tuning and electrical pickup and the rear view camera.

Underneath its body continues the same electric motor of 39 hp that allows him to reach a top speed of 100 km / h. Recalling that this two-seat model measures only 2,488 mm in length and weighs 800 kilos. It is a very valid option for a purely urban use in China.
The upgraded Baojun E100 has a starting price in China that is around 27,500 reais at the current exchange rate and the brand offers an eight-year warranty or 120,000 kilometers (the first that occurs) for batteries and the electric motor.

It is also important to highlight that, in a promotional way until the end of the year, the company offers the free installation of a loading point in the client's house. The price of the Baojun E100 was increased by about 6,500 reais, but now has an improvement of 50 kilometers in autonomy.
