NISSAN E ITALDESIGN REVELAM PROTÓTIPO ÚNICO DO GT-R Imagens e fotos de carro
THE UNIQUE PROTOTYPE OF THE GT-R
In their first collaboration, Nissan and Italdesign created a prototype of the Nissan GT-R supercar, the GT-R50. Based on a Nissan GT-R NISMO series production, the exclusive car celebrates the 50th anniversary of the GT-R and Italdesign and will make its debut in Europe next month.Italdesign developed, designed and built the car. Unique exterior and interior designs were created by teams from Nissan-based design studio Europe in London and Nissan Design America in San Diego.

"How often do you ask, 'What if we created a boundless GT-R' and then we made it? '" Said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design at Nissan. "This is a rare window in the time when two great moments intersect: the 50th anniversary of Italdesign and Nissan generating excitement with the iconic GT-R. So to celebrate this convergence, Nissan and Italdesign have created this customized GT-R to mark 50 years of engineering leadership. "

The design at its best
Starting from the front, the Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign features a gilded element that spans almost the entire width of the vehicle. The bonnet is raised by the increased power drawn from the engine and the LED headlights extend from the wheel arch to above the cooling inlets.Dominating the side view, the ceiling line has been lowered by 54 millimeters and has a lower central section while the slightly raised outer parts give the ceiling profile a muscular appearance. The GT-R signature 'samurai blade' cooling outlets behind the front wheels have gained more prominence with gold inlay and extend from the bottom of the doors to the waistline.

The back is highlighted by the width of the car with strong, muscular flames around the wheels. The waist line narrows around the base of the rear window and heads toward the center of the trunk lid. In a pronounced way, the rear window line descends more than in the standard car. Combined with more touches of gold, it appears as a modular element separate from the rear structure.

The GT-R's twin lanterns have been reinvented as a separate 'floating' feature, with thin light rings and hollow centers, mounted to attach to the central part of the trunk structure. A large, adjustable rear wing completes the appearance. Custom wheels - 21 x 10 inches at the front and 21 x 10.5 inches behind - accentuate the bold look.Inside, the Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign reflects its high performance DNA. Two different carbon fiber finishes are widely used throughout the center console, instrument panel and wall cladding.

Pure performance
The Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign is based on the brand's experience in GT3 races. NISMO has upgraded the 3.8-liter, manually assembled V6 VR38DETT V6 engine to produce 720 hp and 780 Nm of torque, both estimated. The changes in the powertrain include large-diameter turbochargers used in GT3, with high-flow and larger intercoolers; crankshafts, pistons, connecting rods and bearings with revised profiles; high-flow piston oil jets; injectors with higher flow and optimized ignition, intake and exhaust systems. A six-speed, dual-clutch sequential rear-wheel drive with differentials and stronger drive axles direct power to the wheels.
A specific suspension was developed with the continuously adjustable BILSTEIN DampTronic damping system. For braking, Brembo six piston set in the front and four piston in the rear with red tweezers and clearly visible. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, size 255/35 R21 at the front and 285/30 R21 at the rear, add the level of grip required to take advantage of engine power.
"While not the next generation of the GT-R, it's an exciting two-year anniversary celebration in a provocative and creative way - involving one of Nissan's best engineering platforms and Japanese design with Italian bodybuilding," Albaisa said.
