MERCEDES-BENZ
190 E 3.6 S LIGHTWEIGHT OF 1989 PREPARED BY BRABUS IS FOR SALE
A lot of people love the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II with its wide bodywork, its enormous airfoil and its performance, all derived directly from the German Touring Car Championship (DTM). However, in the 1980s there was a vehicle that is considered the apogee of the 190 E family of the German brand, although its creation is attributed to a preparer. This is the 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 3.6 S Lightweight prepared by Brabus, which is now for sale. The famed German preparer is known for creating the most radical versions of the star brand models, and this is not something that goes back a few years ago, with the famous trend of car modifications, but it is much older than you might imagine . In fact, already in the 80's Brabus was able to launch a prototype called 190 E 3.6 S, a performance car inspired by sports motoring, the maximum exponent of line 190 E.
In order to obtain the best results and performance, Brabus worked on a 190 E basis from which it removed air conditioning, sound insulation, rear seats and the factory engine. Thanks to a 3.6-liter six-cylinder in-line, the Brabus 190 E 3.6 S Lightweight became a reality in the year 1988 in its conceptual phase. However, some customers required Brabus to reinstall the air conditioning and rear seats in the vehicle.
This one-of-a-kind collection is currently on sale with Fast Classics UK specialists, along with a complete car history, which includes a large photographic record of construction and development. The price of the single Brabus 190 E Lightweight of 1989 is 131,995 pounds sterling, around 655,500 reais at the current exchange rate.
