Update benefits Mazda MX-5
The Mazda MX-5 has been updated for less than a year with new suspension and steering systems. According to the Japanese publication Car Watch, the small sports car will be updated again, this time the 1.5 and 2.0 liter versions will benefit from increased power.Published information suggests that due to engine modifications, such as the introduction of pistons and lighter connecting rods, the power of the 2.0-liter version will be increased to 182 hp (plus 27 hp). The maximum torque will reach 205 Nm and the redline will increase from 6,800 rpm to 7,500 rpm.

Thanks to improved and more efficient combustion, the 1.5-liter unit will have 131 hp of power. Unfortunately, no performance-related information has been published.

In addition to the mechanical changes, the update will include new customization options that will focus on the rims, hood and interior lining. In addition, a telescopic handwheel (a debut for the model) will be introduced which will allow a 30 mm adjustment and provide a tilt function.The update should not be restricted to the Japanese market, however it will require official confirmation from the European division of Mazda for certainty.
