THE FERRARI ON TOP AGAIN
It was tip-toe, dominant and without any threat. So Sebastian Vettel wrote his name in F1 history by winning his 50th victory at the Canadian Grand Prix. The German is now behind only Michael Schumacher (91), rival Lewis Hamilton (64) and Alain Prost ( 51). Starting from pole-position, the four time champion made a safe and strong race, he commanded from the first meters and never had anyone ahead. Of breaking, it still saw the main adversary crossing the finish line only in fifth. The result of English and victory now put Vettel at the top of the championship. The difference between the two is only one point: 121 x 120.Valtteri Bottas even tested an attack on Vettel but missed the final part of the race and saw any chance slip through his fingers. Still, the Finn had no rivals and came in second place. Max Verstappen seems to have left the incidents behind and climbed again on the podium with third place.Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth, after stealing Hamilton's placement in the pits. The English had problems in the car, needed to advance the pit-stop and could not leave fifth place. Kimi Raikkonen completed the top six. The best post of the rest was in the hands of Nico Hülkenberg. Carlos Sainz, Esteban Ocon and the great Charles Leclerc formed the zone of points. Already Fernando Alonso was unable to finish his 300th GP.Grand prix
