KWID SUFFER FIRST UPDATE

After three years of its arrival in the market, the Renault Kwid will have in the coming months a half-life update that is already under development. It is the small crossover-looking hatchback that the French manufacturer developed initially thinking of customers in India, a market where it enjoys great success, a model that is also commercialized here in Brazil and has been performing very well.

In order to preserve its appeal and update it in relation to its most modern rivals, Renault is preparing an aesthetic renewal of the Kwid that will update its exterior appearance with some elements that have been revised, modifications that will allow the current generation to face the rest of its commercial life. This week a prototype of the refurbished Renault Kwid was seen on roads in Europe, where the French manufacturer uses its infrastructure prepared for the development of vehicles, although it is a model that should not be marketed in the old continent.

The first images show changes in the front and back, which can be appreciated despite the camouflage of the prototype. The most relevant modifications will be on both bumpers, in addition to the wheel arches, while the grille and headlamps will also be subject to a review, as well as the addition of new exterior tones, new hub designs, alloy and new customization options.

In relation to the interior, there should be a new padding, new trims and up-to-date equipment. For the time being the manufacturer has not confirmed improvements in the supply of engines. In India the Renault Kwid is equipped with a 0.8 liter engine that develops 54 horsepower, while the Kwid manufactured in Brazil has a 1.0 liter SCe engine with a power of 66 hp.
