Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the FCA Group - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, revealed this Friday, June 1, the new strategic plan of the Group for the period 2018-2022. Mini Jeep Renegade and electrification are the biggest news.Sergio Marchionne, FCA's iconic CEO, presented the FCA's strategic plan, but revealed nothing about the Group's two most important brands: Fiat and Chrysler. He preferred to focus on the brands with the highest sales potential and the most profitable brands: Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and RAM. Although various information regarding the possible end of Chrysler had circulated in the market, Marchionne said nothing. At the beginning of the presentation of the strategic plan for 2018-2022, Marchionne was clear: the priority of the group will be Jeep, Maserati, RAM and Alfa Romeo: "It is not only a strategic plan: it is a strong and courageous plan, the collective ambitions and determination of the men and women of the FCA group. We have learned to live in uncertainty and we are ready to face any challenge, "said the CEO of the FCA Group.

Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo will bet heavily on SUVs with the arrival of two more models - one compact and one large - in addition to the Stelvio. One of the great news is the return of the GTV that will be a compact coupe of four places with more than 600 hp thanks to a hybrid system. Also noteworthy for the return of the 8C, without date of launch, with structure in carbon, biturbo engine in central position and hybrid system that will allow a power of more than 700 hp.In terms of goals for Alfa Romeo, Marchionne reviewed the numbers: of the 400,000 vehicles expected for 2018, Alfa Romeo expects to sell 170,000.

Maserati
For Maserati, Sergio Marchionne announced the arrival of a second SUV, smaller than the Levante, available as a hybrid plug-in. There will also be a renewal of the Quattroporte until 2022 with the arrival of an electric version. The next Levante will also feature a 100% electric version.Maserati also confirmed the production of the Alfieri in the versions coupe and cabriolet with totally electric motorization. Regarding GranTurismo and GranCabrio, what was expected was confirmed: end of line for both models.Marchionne has set no targets for Maserati but recalled that in 2012 the brand sold 6,000 units worldwide and thanks to the launch of the Ghibli and Levante in 2017 has reached its big target of 50,000 units sold.

Jeep
The Jeep has great aspirations until 2022: nothing less than the launch of a small urban SUV, a new seven-seat SUV above the Grand Cherokee, and full-line electrification with ten plug-in hybrids and four 100% electric models.
It is also planned to end the diesel engines in the line and the introduction of the level 3 autonomous driving system to 2021.
For Jeep, the goal is to move from 730,000 units sold per year to 1.9 million by 2022, with the Chinese market playing a leading role in achieving this goal.

RAM
In its product plan for the US market, RAM features a new mid-size pick-up, rival of the Ford Ranger, which is speculated on as a possible substitute for Fiat Fullback in Europe. Remember that the RAM 1500, rival of the Ford F-150, is the third best-selling pick-up in the USA.
