C CLASS ALL TERRAIN: AUDIO A4 ALLROAD RIVAL ARRIVES IN 2022

The German magazine Auto Motor und Sport said that the next generation of the C Class will include an All-Terrain wagon. The publication does not cite sources and the information is not official, so it is a rumor.The new Mercedes-Benz C Class will be based on the MRA II platform and will have the same dimensions as the current model. Its interior will be similar to the latest A Class, featuring two large digital screens. Other technological innovations will include digital headlamps, new driving assistance systems and semi-autonomous functionalities.According to the German magazine, the sedan version will arrive in 2021, the coupe and turbo versions in 2022. The OC Class All-Terrain will also arrive in 2022. The new model is expected to feature features already present in the E-Class All-Terrain as full- a higher driving position than that of the conventional wagon. The C Class All-Terrain will fight directly with the Audi A4 Allroad quattro and could indirectly influence the crossover market.For those more interested in sports dynamics than in off-road capability, the new Mercedes-Benz SL is scheduled for 2019. It will be the first model of the German manufacturer to integrate the MSA platform, which will result in a significant reduction of the total weight.The future of the SLC is being put on the table, as the publication indicates that the German sports car could be discontinued due to a commercial performance below expectations.
