FIA commissioners reject Williams protestThe protest by Williams calling for a review of the punishment applied to Sergey Sirotkin at the Azerbaijan GP was quickly rejected by the FIA (International Automobile Federation) commissioners.According to the entity, "the commissioners decided unanimously that there is no significant or relevant evidence presented, and that therefore no review of any of the five incidents mentioned in the protest will be made."Sirotkin was punished with the loss of three positions on the starting grid of the next GP in Spain next Sunday. for having collided with Sergio Perez in Baku. He also received two points of punishment in the wallet.
Williams had also requested a review of moments of the event in which the team was not involved: the punishment palicada to Kevin Magnussen, the lack of punishment in a fight involving Kimi Räikkönen and Esteban Ocon.Finally another moment of Sirotkin was between the requests: the incident between Sirotkin, Nico Hülkenberg and Fernando Alonso in the first return.The first step of the protests was given in a teleconference with the commissioners of the Baku test. The second would be a hearing - but with the decision to reject, there is no more chance of appeal.
