Mazda unveils CX-3 2018
Mazda made the World Premiere of the latest evolution of the Mazda CX-3 at the New York Motor Show. This 2018 version adopts a more mature KODO design, widely modified SKYACTIV engines and a more comprehensive set of i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies, being able to continue the success of the previous generation, while preparing its arrival in the European market, next summer.
This is the second evolution of the model since its launch in 2015, and once again the Mazda CX-3 2018 reflects Mazda's human-centered design philosophy, providing the driver and passengers with a more mature and quality in all áreas.
Exterior and Interior
Exterior changes include a redesigned front grille, the choice of attractive Soul Red Crystal paint and the new 18-inch alloy wheels. In interior terms, the model incorporates a central armrest, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function1 and new contents at the level of i-ACTIVSENSE safety systems, including a new traffic assistant1 (in combination with the SKYACTIV automatic transmission -Drive) and a Matrix LED1 lighting system.

Motor
The SKYACTIV-D diesel engine equipped with the 2018 version of the Mazda CX-3 integrates several improvements that meet the Euro 6d-Temp emission standard, namely in real emissions (RDE). The lower combustion temperature, achieved through an increase in the cylinder capacity of the four-cylinder block, among other implemented evolutions, guarantees even lower NOX emissions. A NOX storage catalyst reduces the nitrogen oxide components remaining in the exhaust gases to the levels required by the Euro 6d-Temp standard.Also the SKYACTIV-G gasoline engines of this new generation Mazda CX-3 have received several upgrades for an even greater reduction of particulate emissions, often found in direct injection gasoline engines. Even without a particulate filter, this engine meets the most stringent requirements of the Euro 6d-Temp emission standard, including the RDE particle number test.
