EQUUS THROWBACK ARRIVES BASED ON CHEVROLET CORVETTE AND WITH 1000 CV

The Chevrolet Corvette has traditionally been one of the favorite bases for many small manufacturers to create their own limited edition sports cars. Its relatively affordable cost coupled with the simplicity of its technical scheme, which has numerous options in the aftermarket, allows small brands to have the perfect base for their models.This is one of those cases, since underneath the new carbon fiber body of the Equus Throwback there is a seventh generation Chevrolet Corvette, but due to the few details provided by the brand, it is unknown what version was built.The brand did not reveal the full specifications, but probably account for at least the Z06's 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 engine because of the two power versions available for the Throwback, the more powerful 1,013 hp delivery, which does not seem possible with the LT1 aspirated block of the Corvette Stingray.
The higher version can be requested in pack form and the base version yield numbers have not been revealed yet.









Equus Automotive will manufacture only 25 Throwback units on request at a minimum price of $ 130,000, which does not seem expensive considering that the cheapest Corvette ZR1 2019 costs $ 119,995 and the most expensive just over 125,000.



The interior is clearly a lightweight interior upgrade that can be found on the Corvette C7, except for the inclusion of new finishes and materials. Nevertheless, the body is completely new, and for its design certain traces of old generations of the model, like the C3, the C2 and the C1 have been taken. Except for some elements, such as the pillars, the profile is completely new and appears completely splattered by these retro-type details, which in some are quite forced inside the set, such as the drawing of the sides, extracted from the first generation of the model and the attempt of split the rear window glass as in the Corvette 63 'Split Window'.Still, the overall look is quite good, especially in its rear view, where large central exhaust pipes emerge, in the same place where it appears in the C7 from which it derives
