SUPER NIPPON SPORTS PRESENT

In this new edition of the Geneva Motor Show, the GR Supra Racing Concept prototype, the true anticipation of the new compact two-door sports car will be presented in its final production format and ready to be marketed at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show end of November.With its own appearance to jump directly from its stand in the Swiss event to the most demanding competition, it is presented with very contained dimensions, with a length of 4574 mm, 2,048 mm wide, a height of 1,230 mm and a wheelbase of 2,470 mm, numbers that will be very similar to the final production model and with a front engine configuration transmitting the power to the rear axle, as it shares the modular platform CLAR with the also new BMW Z4.The latest creation of Toyota Gazoo Racing's racing division features a white and red bodywork, plus the huge '90' number on the doors in a tribute to the old Supra, a reference to one of the models with the longest history in its different generations and that ended its production in 2002 after being in production from 1978 and to obtain triumphs in successive occasions in Le Mans, Japan and the United States.

Gazoo Racing has put all its experience in competitions for the development of this prototype, which has a body and a chassis made of composite and light materials, such as the bumpers - including the integrated diffuser - the side skirts, the hood with large air intakes, rear-view mirror housings and the huge rear spoiler, while the windshield and windows are made of plastic and the interior of the carbon fiber door panels, the typical materials used for meet the demanding requirements of the competition at its highest level.

Mechanically, the chassis features forged alloy wheels with the signature of BBS experts and with central nut for quick change and fitted with Michelin special tires for competition, as well as with the entire fuel system, the brake system that is Brembo's work and the entire electrical system including the battery. The interior draws attention to its safety cage with a dashboard equipped with Gazoo Racing technology, a collapsible steering wheel with integrated paddle shifts, a fire extinguishing system and seat belts.
