MORE DETAILS OF THE NEW TOYOTA RAV4

A few weeks ago we were able to see a first anticipation of one of the most important innovations that the Japanese manufacturer would take to the Salon of New York 2018: the new generation of the Toyota RAV4, which at the time showed what their profile would look like.Now, with the event taking place around the corner, Toyota has decided to unveil the new RAV4 in full, in a series of official images that let you know in detail the new generation of the successful Japanese off-road. The new Toyota RAV4 2019 features a design that shifts from the usual styles for this type of vehicle, showing a bold exterior, with well-marked angular lines, which at the same time convey a sense of robustness.















Developed on the Japanese brand's TNGA platform, the RAV4's fifth generation has similar dimensions to the current model, with a body of 4.6 meters in length, just one centimeter wider and an inter-axle distance that has been extended by three centimeters .In relation to the interior, there is a completely renovated cabin, equipped with new materials to cover most surfaces, managing to convey a feeling of greater quality. A new 8.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system, including Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay system compatibility, is in the works.

In terms of safety and roadside assistance, the new Toyota RAV4 features the Toyota Safety Sense system that groups various functions such as alert for unintentional shifting, adaptive speed control, pedestrian detection pre-collision alert, traffic signs, blind spot detection, and track maintenance assistant.With respect to the mechanical part, the new generation of the Toyota RAV4 will feature a new 2.0-liter gasoline engine that develops 170 horsepower as well as a hybrid engine based on an Atkinson 2.5-liter gasoline engine.For now the manufacturer has not provided details on the mechanical offer for each specific market, but the propellers may come coupled with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic and in both cases the four-wheel drive system will be available.Its arrival in the market is expected for the first months of next year, but for now the manufacturer did not communicate how will be composed the line of the all-terrain completely renovated.
