NEW YORK GENERATION FOR THE NEW YORK HALL 2018
The sixth generation of the Altima will debut worldwide on March 28 at the New York Motor Show, a fact confirmed by the American division of Nissan with the advance of a sketch showing the front aspect of the car.The Nissan Altima is a three-door four-door sedan marketed in the US market, which has been completely renovated for this new generation. Although the new generation will be presented later this month, US customers will have to wait until the second half of this year to drive the car.The Japanese manufacturer informs that the Altima 2019 reveals the future design language that will be applied on Nissan models, including also the update of Maxima, which is already running in tests and will see the light briefly. But in the case of the model in question, the sketch shows how the 'V-Motion' grille, typical of brand models around the world, has become larger by extending vertically and opening until it reaches the front bumper.This is what Nissan calls version 2.0 - flanked by narrower, thinner, almost ripped headlights that now have an LED fillet at the inside edges like an inverted 'V'. With a sharper design, including the side of the sketch, bet on a ceiling line that descends gently to the rear volume, creating a fastback type profile.The interior will also undergo major changes, adopting a new infotainment system with a new large screen and a new distribution of air conditioning controls, as well as a new steering wheel, similar to Rogue, among other improvements. In the part of the motorizations will appear blocks of four cylinders with gasoline and six cylinders in V more efficient.The main novelty will be the arrival of total traction with the most powerful engines, a strategy that will make the new Altima much more attractive compared to rivals, such as the new Chevrolet Malibu and the new Honda Accord.
