MAHINDRA

MAHINDRA ROXOR: UM CLONE DO JEEP ORIGINAL PARA OS ESTADOS UNIDOS Imagens e fotos de carroAN ORIGINAL JEEP CLONE FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET

The first model that Mahindra will manufacture in its new plant in the United States has already been introduced, the new Mahindra Roxor. It is a nice little cross-country that passes as a clone of the original Willys Jeep. For now the model presented by the Indian brand has a very extreme configuration, as it has no doors or ceiling and the columns, including those of the windshield, are simple tubes. That is why we can not qualify the new Roxor as an urban vehicle, because it is a pure terrain. It has a somewhat peculiar line, because it has a single body option and a single mechanic, but it has an immense color catalog. The brand announces no less than 900 chromatic options for Roxor, assuming they are formed by color and accessory combinations. The only available engine will probably be the only one of its kind in this market, because despite being a 2.5-liter turbodiesel, it develops only 63 hp and 195 Nm of maximum torque. For now it is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission, but later there will be an option with automatic transmission.

But the most interesting thing about Roxor is not its mechanical characteristics, but its extreme resemblance to the original Jeep, especially considering that it will be manufactured and marketed precisely in the home market of the iconic American all-terrain. This is exactly because it is not a copy, but a derivative too far from the Jeep CJ-2A.The Jeep CJ-2A has been licensed for decades by Mahindra to be assembled in India, which is why the company has been able to manufacture these vehicles so similar to the original all-terrain for years.
