THE FIFTH GENERATION OF OPEL COMBO

Opel presented the first images and official information of one of the news that in a few weeks will be showing at the Salon de Genève 2018. This is the fifth generation of the Opel Combo, which is completely renewed with a new exterior image, techniques.The new Opel Combo shares the platform derived from the PSA EMP2 with the new Citroën Berlingo presented a few days ago and with the new Peugeot Partner that surely we should know over the coming weeks.Like the Berlingo, the new Combo will also be available in a long chassis version with 4.75 meters in length, which allows a seating configuration of seven seats in three rows of seats. It has a luggage compartment of 597 liters capacity, which can expand to reach the 2,693 liters capacity in its most spacious version.
The first images released by the PSA Group allow us to appreciate the Opel Combo Life, the version focused on leisure and that will certainly capture the attention of families. Like its peers from Citroën and Peugeot, the new Opel Combo will also be produced at the PSA plant in Vigo, Spain.The new Opel Combo Life utilizes all the technology available on the current Opel line, offering all the elements that can be present in any current vehicle. Looking inside, the new Combo is focused on practicality and comfort, with high quality materials to cover most surfaces.Highlights include the 8.0-inch touch screen infotainment system located in the upper area of ​​the center console, well above the outputs of the climate control system. The system has Bluetooth, USB and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.








The equipment is very rich and among the most notable elements comes the IntelliGrip system that allows you to adjust the traction control and stability in terrain that require it, panoramic rear view camera, automatic parking assistant, side parking sensors, collision warning front with pedestrian detection, track maintenance, drowsiness alert, adaptive cruise control, etc.
In mechanical terms, the new Combo's range includes several diesel and gasoline alternatives in combination with a five- or six-speed manual transmission, while the eight-speed automatic is optional.
