RALLY DAKAR 2018
Dakar, Carlos Sainz: "I'm very happy, it's a well deserved reward"
Carlos Sainz won his second Dakar, having already won in 2010. At the age of 55, the Spanish driver becomes the oldest winner in the history of the race between the cars, also giving the third consecutive victory to Peugeot.
"I'm very happy, it's a well-deserved reward. Such great joy. As a coincidence, I won here my last WRC rally, in these same ways, in 2004. Cordoba and Argentina gave me another great joy. I have been leaving the Dakar for the past few years, but I have always given my best. This year, the Dakar was very tough. Now I will enjoy the victory and only then will I think about the future. Peugeot will leave and I will see what I decide with the family, "said the Spaniard.
