New F1T engine generation from FPT Industrial teams Fiat Ducato 2018
The new Fiat Ducato 2018, launched this week at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Training Center in Campinas (SP), is equipped with the latest generation of the 2.3L F1A engine produced by FPT Industrial in Sete Lagoas (MG) ). One of the best-selling brand products in the world, the new generation of propellers is the result of more than 35 years in the development of engines for light commercial vehicles, and was developed following all criteria of maximum performance, comfort and reliability.In the version that equips the new Fiat Ducato 2018, the F1A was even more powerful, now generating 130 hp. Vibrations and noise are up to 5 db lower than their main competitors - directly increasing driver comfort and safety during the work cycle. Equipped with the new six-speed transmission, the engine regimen has been adjusted, improving its efficiency on the streets and roads and further reducing fuel consumption.The F1A engines feature state-of-the-art Common Rail injection, four valves per cylinder, maintenance-free hydraulic valve system, and advanced air intake systems. The power and torque distribution is done intelligently so that performance and fuel economy occur in any situation. "The world market knows the tradition of F1A engine efficiency. Technology
From the technological point of view, the F1A is equipped with the EGR system, which recirculates the exhaust gases, being the best solution available to keep emissions within the limits established by the Proconve L6 / Euro 5 standards. In economic terms, of the Arla 32, coupled with low fuel consumption, makes the cost of the engine one of the lowest in the category. The turbocharger is configured to minimize fuel consumption and provide immediate response to acceleration.The constant evolution of the F1A engine can also be observed in the modifications of material used in the composition of the Valvetrain system. This led to a 47% increase in the life of belts and gears, which optimizes maintenance costs and increases vehicle performance.The cooling systems and the turbocharger were optimized, which made the propeller more compact, contributing to the thermodynamic efficiency and lightness of the equipment. As a result of this innovation, the installation of the engine became easier and consequently the faster maintenance operations. Vibrations and noise are the smallest recorded on the market, which ensures productivity and sustains the long life cycle of the FPT Industrial F1A.
