THE FIRST VIDEO OF ELECTRIC CORVETTE OF 811CV

Almost as expected as an official version of the Chevrolet Corvette from which it derives, this electric conversion of the American sports car created by the Genovation project was presented in its definitive version at the last edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this month .By eliminating the 6.2-liter V8 aspirated engine from the Corvette Grand Sport and replacing it with an electric mechanic, it can deliver 811 hp (800 hp) and 948 Nm of maximum torque. Only 75 copies of this zero emission car will be manufactured at a price of $ 750,000 per unit.After the presentation at CES 2018, the brand released the first video of the model, where we can also see an animation with the technical scheme of electric mechanics, which occupies the same space left by the original V8 engine.What the video does not show is the actual sound of the vehicle. All the audio corresponds to a very vibrant melody, a feature usually used in these types of promotional pieces. Of course, the original sound of the original block disappeared, but it would be interesting to hear the new electric mechanics of 811 hp.In the video we can see in detail its drawing. The Genovation GXE differs from the Corvette Grand Sport by a new front bumper and a well-modified rear, including new circular lanterns in the classic Corvette style that were lost with the arrival of the current generation.There are also new wheels and a huge rear aerofoil, not as radical as the ZR1 equipped with the optional ZTK pack, but even so, it has a very considerable size and very characteristic shapes. The first units will be delivered later this year.
