Just as it had been announced, the new Hennessey Venom F5 was presented at the SEMA Show 2017 and also as if suspected, came by surprise. For now they are only promises, but if they are confirmed the numbers announced by Hennessey, it is the new world king of speed.Although it may seem like a simple evolution of the Hennessey Venom GT, the truth is that the lessons learned from the hyper-sporty one based on a small Lotus have borne fruit, especially those that indicate what should not be done. The new Venom F5 is no longer a simple car built with multiple parts from a variety of sources, but a completely built from scratch, developed inch by inch with a single goal, make it the absolute benchmark in terms of performance.

So the Hennessey Texans used a carbon monocoque chassis, the same material with which the stylized body was made, which was designed not in terms of the shapes of a donor model, but was carved according to the results of the wind tunnel . The new F5 has a drag coefficient of 0.33, a good number compared to its closest rivals, Bugatti Chiron's 0.38 and Venom GT's 0.44.

But the true star of the set is the 7.4-liter V8 engine that produces 1,622 hp with a maximum torque of 1,762 Nm. Hennessey has not revealed the total weight of the set for now, but taking into account that it does not have full wheel drive or a huge 16-cylinder 4-turbo engine, should weigh considerably less than the 2-tonne Bugatti Chiron. Its transmission is a simple seven-speed automatic clutch, although it also features an optional manual transmission, but Hennessey's own staff does not recommend it.There are no images of its interior, but will have a very luxurious cabin with leather and Alcantara in combination with carbon fiber. According to Hennessey, tall people will have no problem accommodating themselves inside. Only 24 copies will be manufactured at a price of 1.6 million dollars, to which can easily be added another 600,000 in options. Therefore, we can expect a price close to 2.2 million in most cases.
The numbers of the new Hennessey Venom F5 are appalling, although for the moment there is no documentation that validates them. These are numbers announced by the manufacturer, therefore estimated. When the user activates Vmax mode (maximum speed), the F5 modifies the angle and height of the airfoils and spoilers, being able to reach 300 km / h in 10 seconds and 400 km / h in only 20 seconds.
