A NEW VIRTUAL SPORT WITH 750 HP

The Peugeot L750 R Hybrid Vision Gran Turismo takes back the path of its predecessor Peugeot L500 R Hybrid Concept, a virtual prototype developed by the brand to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French 500 Indianapolis win with Dario Resta at the wheel of a Peugeot L45.
The L500 R, which never materialized in a physical prototype, was a single-seater fitted with a hybrid system with three engines that produced 500 hp. The new design revealed by Peugeot in the L750 R can be considered an evolution of the competition version of this concept, with an aggressive aerodynamic configuration and a modified mechanical approach and much more radical.

If the first model was a simple tribute, its version of competition is born with the destiny to come to life in the virtual world of the next version of the Gran Turismo video game, which opens this October.The new Peugeot L750 R Hybrid Vision Gran Turismo has more radical specifications than its predecessor. Made entirely of carbon fiber and with an included monocoque chassis, according to the brand it could be up to 175 pounds lighter than the L500 R Hybrid Concept, scoring on the scale only 825 kilos, which together with its aggressive aerodynamic pack, promises a behavior much more accurate than the previous model.

The mechanical scheme is only known to have a traditional combustion engine, whose only known specifications are its power of 588 hp at 10,000 rpm. To it are added two electric motors that deliver a total of 172 hp, therefore, the total combined power is 750 hp, hence its name.Thus, its weight / power ratio is only 1.1 pounds per cv. With all this it is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in only 2.4 seconds.
