Suzuki unveils e-Survivor prototype
Suzuki has unveiled the e-Survivor prototype that will be showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show (Oct. 28-Nov. 5). The Japanese manufacturer celebrates its centenary in 2020, Suzuki e-Survivor is part of the celebrations as a reference for the next 100 years. The proportions of Suzuki e-Survivor indicate that the prototype probably represents a preview of the future generation of Jimny or Vitara. It is smaller than many urban compacts, has a wheelbase of 2,300 mm, measures 3,460 mm in length, 1,645 in width and 1,655 in height. Its overall design is reminiscent of a buggy. The blue light on the wheels indicates that it is an electric vehicle. The front is typically Suzuki, the doors are transparent and have no roof, leaving their two occupants exposed to the elements. It is a vehicle designed for off road adventures. Each wheel is activated by its own motor and the traction of each of them can be controlled independently. The electronic equipment is inspired by the latest trends. A large widescreen display runs across the dashboard and a 3D globe serves as a navigational instrument. The passenger is entitled to an individual display and the driver finds relevant information displayed digitally on the steering wheel. However, the tachometer seems to be analog.
