F1: Aston Martin Red Bull Racing confirmed in 2018
Aston Martin will even be in the name of Red Bull in 2018. The partnership between the two brands began in the 2016 season, with the two brands working together to develop the Aston Martin Valkyrie. Now the partnership reaches another level by passing the team name to Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. This agreement strengthens the link between the two brands, and Milton Keynes has built a new advanced performance center that will serve to develop the new Red Bull and Aston super cars."Our innovative partnership with Aston Martin has been a pioneer since day one. Once we successfully conceived and created the Aston Martin Valkyrie in 2016, we increased our relationship this year and will see our team competing as Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. This will bring us several improvements such as setting up a high performance hub and greater collaboration between employees of the two brands, "said Christian Horner, director of Red Bull. The president and CEO of Aston Martin said that its brand has grown a lot with the partnership with Red Bull and stressed that it remains interested in the new rules for the 2021 engines of F1, noting, however, that it is only interested if the costs "The name-level partnership was the next logical step for our innovative partnership with Red Bull Racing. Discussions for the new Power Units are in our best interest, but only if circumstances are right. We are not interested in entering a motors war without cost constraints, but we believe that the FIA can create the right rules to get us interested in developing our own Unity, "said Andy Palmer.
