Bosch and Nikola present hydrogen truck
Bosch and Nikola Motor Company, the maker of electric vehicles, have announced the joint development of a line of hydrogen-powered trucks. The models, Nikola One and Nikola Two, will hit the market in 2021, the companies said on Tuesday, 19, in Germany.
In the project, Bosch will participate by supplying the electric powertrain based on the eAxle platform - set equipped with electric motor and transmission. Aside from the items, the company will also develop the vehicle's electronic controls. Nikola will be responsible for designing the vehicles.


In early September in the United States, another company operating in the heavy-duty segment, Cummins, introduced to the market an electric truck concept called Aeos, a 4 × 2 road mower that has a range of 482 kilometers and a 12-liter engine .For Markus Heyn, head of Bosch's commercial vehicle division, the moment is to accelerate the development of projects in the field of renewable energy: "Bosch is an incubator of electromobility solutions."
