Tata Punch facelift for just over €5,300
Tata's latest update to the affordable Punch shows that even entry-level cars can offer more than the basics. The facelifted Punch has sharper styling and a more capable powertrain. However, as Carscoops points out, the real attraction is the starting price of just Rs 559,000 (around €5,320) in India.
The redesigned front now features split LED headlights and a larger "Bull Guard" bumper with a pronounced plastic trim and a silver skid plate.

Tata’s latest update to the affordable Punch shows that even entry-level cars can offer more than the basics. The facelifted Punch has sharper styling and a more capable powertrain. However, as Carscoops notes, the real draw is its starting price of just Rs 559,000 (around €5,320) in India.
The redesigned front now features split LED headlights and a larger “Bull Guard” bumper with a bold plastic cladding and a silver skid plate.
At the rear, a new “Infinity Glow” LED strip runs the width of the tailgate, connecting the taillights. The rear bumper gets a cleaner, simpler look. Tata has also added new 16-inch alloy wheels and four new exterior color options.
The Punch is still 3827 mm long. However, it has a slightly increased ground clearance of 193 mm and a more respectable water-fording value of 400 mm, which allows it to cope with rough Indian roads and challenging weather conditions.
The interior looks familiar, but there are a few changes. A 10.25-inch stand-alone infotainment system is combined with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, which is located behind a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel. The climate controls on the center console are now touch-sensitive, while the cloth-covered seats are said to be more supportive.
In terms of equipment, the list includes a 360-degree camera, a sunroof, wireless charging and an eight-speaker audio system. Advanced driver assistance systems are not on the menu, but six airbags come as standard.
The biggest news is under the hood. The manufacturer has finally given the Punch a more powerful 1.2-liter turbo engine from the slightly larger Nexon. It produces 88 kW/120 hp and is exclusively paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
For those on a tighter budget, the naturally aspirated 1.2-liter engine with 65 kW/88 hp is still part of the offer. The same applies to the bi-fuel version (petrol and CNG), which has received the option of an automatic transmission.
Finally, the all-electric Punch EV is also expected to undergo a facelift in the near future.
The 2026 Tata Punch is already available for order in India. Prices in India start at 559,000 rupees (about 5,320 euros) for the entry-level Base variant, while the top-of-the-line Accomplished+ S version is available for 1,054,000 rupees (10,025 euros).
