The 2026 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin has new color options

The 2026 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin reaffirms itself as one of the living legends of adventure motorcycling, consolidating an evolution that began almost four decades ago with the mythical XRV650.

For this new season, the Japanese company decided to focus its efforts on an aesthetic and chromatic renewal that enhances its athletic and adventurous character, while maintaining the mechanical robustness and technological development that made it the second best-selling trail bike in its category in Europe, with more than 121,000 units delivered since its rebirth in 2016.

At the heart of this machine beats the 1,084 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, a power unit optimized after the extensive 2024 revision to offer robust performance at low and medium revs, which is where a trail bike is truly appreciated.

With a power output of 75 kW (101 hp) and 112 Nm of torque, the 2026 Africa Twin offers exceptional flexibility. This engine inherits technologies from the CRF450R motocross bike, such as the Unicam SOHC valve train, which allows for an extremely compact cylinder head, resulting in a low center of gravity and enviable handling on technical terrain.

The true magic of the Africa Twin lies in its electronic "brain," orchestrated by a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This sensor monitors the lean angle, angle of attack, and yaw of the bike in real time to manage with surgical precision the HSTC traction control, the three-level wheelie control, and the cornering ABS.

The driver has at their disposal four predefined driving modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-Road) and two configurable modes, accessible via a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen that integrates full connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New colors...By 2026, the range will feature new color combinations that unite history and modernity. The standard version, designed for off-road use with its 21-inch front wheel, is available in the vibrant Grand Prix Red, elegant Matte Black Metallic with gold details, and the iconic Pearl White in HRC colors.

Meanwhile, the Adventure Sports — the quintessential touring version, with a 24.8-liter tank and 19-inch wheel — features the new Matte Iridium Grey Metallic color, a shade that highlights its transcontinental sophistication, along with the Showa EERA electronic suspension, capable of adjusting damping on the move according to load or terrain.

The optional Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system continues to be a great success for Honda, now accounting for almost 70% of Adventure Sports model sales. Thanks to its ability to detect curves using the IMU and provide smooth gear changes, it reduces fatigue on long journeys and allows the rider to focus exclusively on the ideal trajectory.

With four accessory packages available (Rally, Adventure, Urban and Travel), the 2026 Africa Twin not only pays homage to its Dakar heritage, but also positions itself as the ultimate tool for those who understand that the adventure doesn't end on the asphalt.
