NMAX 125 Tech MAX
Tech MAX is Yamaha's class-leading MAX line of sport scooters, offering all the style, exclusivity, and functionality you'd expect from a flagship line. Equipped as standard with cutting-edge specifications, including a TFT instrument panel with Garmin connectivity and navigation*, plus a luxury seat and specific colors, the NMAX 125 Tech MAX is the benchmark among smaller scooters. (*The Garmin navigation system with full map is available as standard on NMAX Tech MAX models, but is not offered in all countries. Some navigation features are not available in all countries.)
With its compact body and dynamic twin headlights, the NMAX 125 Tech MAX takes the 125cc category to another level. With an iconic design, clearly inspired by the MAX, first-class finishes, and extraordinary details, the Tech MAX is the obvious choice for riders looking for a premium version of the NMAX 125.

What makes the NMAX 125 Tech MAX so appealing is its good accessibility and practicality for everyday use. Designed for urban commutes to work or during leisure time, it's the ideal scooter for car drivers or those returning to motorcycle riding because they seek the freedom of two wheels. And it's the best way to join the MAX family of sport scooters.
Two Modes and Smarter Gear Shifting
The highlight is the debut of the Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (YECVT), an electronic continuously variable transmission developed by the Japanese brand. Basically, it's the good old CVT, but with simulated gears as already happens in some cars, having predefined gear ratios that can be selected by buttons. The system also allows you to choose between two driving modes:
-Sport, which delivers faster acceleration by holding gears for longer and allowing the engine to run at higher RPMs;
-Town, geared towards urban driving, with earlier shifts and smoother operation.
The "Shift" button allows you to manually downshift for immediate acceleration — behavior similar to that of a traditional motorcycle. This same effect can also be achieved simply by opening the throttle more aggressively.

Although it is the same motorcycle as the one sold in Brazil, the European Yamaha NMax is more advanced in terms of equipment. The instrument panel now features a 4.2" TFT screen integrated with the Garmin navigation system, allowing users to receive SMS alerts, answer or reject calls, and control music.
The NMAX 125 Tech MAX is Yamaha's premium 125cc scooter built for city riders who want comfort, technology and efficiency in one stylish package.
Powered by a 125cc Blue Core engine with around 12hp, the NMAX delivers smooth acceleration, excellent fuel economy and EURO5+ compliance, making it perfect for everyday commuting and city commuting.
This latest NMAX 125 Tech MAX features a colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity, keyless start and USB-C charging, providing modern control and smart navigation options on the go. With ABS brakes, 13-inch wheels and a stable chassis, it offers confident handling in busy urban environments. Storage is also practical, with under-seat space for a helmet and front pockets for easy access to essentials.
The main screen is accompanied by an auxiliary LCD display, which shows basic information such as speed and fuel level. The engine remains the same: a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 14.8 hp of power and 1.4 kgfm of maximum torque in the European specification.

The NMAX 125 Tech MAX features a dynamic look and premium finish inspired by Yamaha's class-leading MAX family of sport scooters. The compact fairing highlights the agility and sporty DNA of this lightweight scooter, making it the perfect choice for riders who want to belong to the iconic Yamaha MAX family.
The Tech MAX finish elevates the look with premium seat materials, exclusive colours and LED lighting - bringing big scooter style to the 125 class.
If you're looking for an economical, stylish and functional commuter scooter, the new NMAX 125 Tech MAX stands out as one of the best options in its segment for 2026. It's perfect for beginners, city commuters and anyone who wants reliability and a premium feel without stepping up to a bigger bike.
