Special prices for Suzuki Ignis with automatic transmission
The ultra-compact city SUV is now on sale - Suzuki Ignis. Increased ground clearance and a distinctive design that stands out in city traffic make Ignis stand out in this segment. Thanks to the hybrid engine, consumption remains low with excellent performance.
The special price of the model with automatic transmission in the Premium equipment package is €18,600, and in the Elegance package €19,800(Suzuki Serbia, Europe).
A compact city car born to compete in the A-segment, the Suzuki Ignis is preparing to arrive in Portugal in early April, in its new generation. Truly redesigned from top to bottom, this makes the small Japanese car a newcomer to one of the most popular "neighborhoods" of the moment: that of SUVs, crossovers, and the like.
MPG, emissions and tax...Your engine choice here is easy seeing as there’s only one available: an 82hp 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol. Front-wheel-drive is standard, as is a five-speed manual transmission. A continuously variable automatic (CVT) transmission is available on the SZ-T and SZ5 trims, although it doesn’t feel particularly pleasant in use and increases overall fuel consumption. Opting for the four-wheel-drive system does that too, so only choose it if you really need the extra grip.
The mild-hybrid system doesn’t offer all-electric driving capability, it does help lower fuel consumption. Fuel economy figures range from 52.4mpg to 58mpg depending on which of the above configurations you go for. CO2 emissions are between 119g/km and 122g/km. As a comparison, the Fiat Panda manages 53mpg and 125g/km, and the VW Up does 55mpg and 116g/km. Road tax for the first year of ownership is £190.
Acceleration from 0-62mph is in the mid 12-second range, which betters just about every entry-level small city car and makes the light Ignis feel particularly energetic around town.

With a bolder yet captivating look, the new Ignis opens up to customization, offers interior space for traveling with friends or family, and boasts other attributes only those with an adventurous spirit possess, namely increased ground clearance, two- and four-wheel drive systems, and small, reasonably peppy engines.
The Ignis is also a very different car from its predecessor – in terms of its platform, the same (albeit redesigned) that Suzuki debuted on the Baleno, as well as its exterior design. It now appears even more mini-SUV-like, with simple, solid, personalized lines, and also easily recognizable. Inspired, the manufacturer assures, by their ancestors – starting with the little-known LJ10 (1970) and LJ80 (1978) in Europe, followed by the now famous SJ410 Jimny (1981) and SJ660 Vitara (1988).
With particularly compact exterior dimensions (3.7 m long, 1.6 m wide, and 1.5 m high), combined with a generous 2.4 m wheelbase and, most importantly, a ground clearance of 18 cm (the same as, for example, a Jimny), there are also differences in the interior of the cabin, where, alongside the same straight and functional lines, there are some technological and distinctive details, such as the touchscreen suspended in the center of the dashboard or the unusually shaped automatic air conditioning, as well as several storage spaces, most of which are open. With the irreverent spirit conveyed by a color scheme that encompasses not only black and white, but also accents that can be in either orange or titanium gray. All this, in a cabin where, despite the good build quality, the manufacturer's well-known penchant for hard plastics is repeated, and doesn't always promise the best longevity. This is also explained by the fact that it's designed for the lower end of the automotive market...

Quite a bit. In fact, once you overcome some difficulty accessing the rear seats due to the high seating position—which can lead to banging your head on the door frame—this new Ignis offers a whole world of pleasant surprises. Starting with the accessibility and intuitiveness of most controls, the capacity of the various storage spaces, a driving position that favors all-around visibility, and even a spaciousness that impresses with its spacious seating capacity for four adults. Especially the rear seats, whose seats also benefit from the ability to adjust their depth (60:40), moving forward or backward by 165 mm, thus giving priority to both passenger space and the trunk.
And since we're talking about the trunk, it's indeed a pleasant surprise, with a capacity that easily surpasses the initial 260 liters to an even more surprising 373 liters – the same as a Vitara! That is, of course, assuming the rear seats can be moved all the way forward, and provided passengers, with considerably less legroom, don't complain...
