RENAULT

Today the premiere of the new Renault Clio
The Clio is a cult Renault model and a mainstay of the range since 1990. Now the new, sixth generation is coming.
Some media recently wrote that the new Clio will probably use an improved version of the CMF-B platform of the previous model (introduced in 2019), aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs.
The emphasis will be on the evolution of the existing E-Tech hybrid powertrain, while other details are yet to come.

The new Clio will be premiered at the IAA Mobility show, with a press conference in Munich on Monday, September 8 at 5:30 p.m.

From Tuesday, September 9 to Sunday, September 14, Renault will present the new Clio to the public at Odeonsplatz in the center of Munich.

The sixth-generation Clio is expected to go on sale early next year, with one of the biggest refreshes in the last few generations. Among other things, it will bring a number of new design details, such as a more prominent nose.

Kardian and Kwid Engines...Since Renault already has the 5 E-Tech serving as a compact electric car, along with the Mégane just above it, the Clio won't have an electric version. However, there's a good chance the 2026 Renault Clio will continue using the same engines as the current generation supplied in Europe. One of the highlights is the 1.0-liter TCe three-cylinder turbo, identical to the Kardian's.
It also features a naturally aspirated version of this engine, which is found here under the Kwid's hood. There's also the 1.3-liter TCe four-cylinder turbo from the Oroch and Duster, but recalibrated to deliver a maximum of 140 hp. The highlight, however, is the HEV hybrid version, which uses a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine and delivers 143 hp.
