The tenth ŠKODA student car, called the L&K 130, will be presented next week

* The world premiere of the tenth student car is scheduled for June 20th

* The name celebrates ŠKODA Auto’s 130-year history and pays tribute to founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement

* The color scheme of the L&K 130 is inspired by the old Laurin & Klement logo

* All ten student cars will be on display during the official presentation next week

– Next week, 28 students from the ŠKODA Auto Vocational High School will present the tenth ŠKODA student car, called the ŠKODA L&K 130. The nameplate of this unique vehicle reflects ŠKODA Auto’s 130-year heritage, as well as its striking color scheme. The combination of red, gold and black pays homage to the original Laurin & Klement logo used on the company’s first cars in 1905.

A tribute to the legacy of Václav Laurin and Václav Klement...The 130th anniversary of Škoda Auto is woven into every detail of the new student car. The Škoda L&K 130 refers to the rich heritage of the Czech car manufacturer, which began with founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement in 1895.

The color scheme is inspired by the historic L&K logo from 1905. The heritage of Laurin & Klement extends beyond the name of the vehicle. Chosen from a number of designs submitted by students, the color scheme reflects the company’s original logo from 1905. Its elegant combination of gold, dark red and black complements the modern contours of the student-designed vehicle as successfully as it did with the classic grille of the Voiturette A – the first car to bear the Laurin & Klement name. Inside, this historical theme continues, with the seats, dashboard, door panels and steering wheel covered in sustainable materials inspired by Škoda’s heritage.

All ten Škoda student cars on display...This year's Škoda Student Car marks the tenth outstanding creation by students at the Škoda Auto Technical Secondary School in Mladá Boleslav. To celebrate this milestone, all nine previous student cars, from the 2014 Citijet to the 2023 Roadiaq, will be on display alongside the new L&K 130 at the official launch next week.
