WRC: Ogier wins rally in Portugal

Toyota driver Sebastien Ogier won the World Rally Championship (WRC) race in Portugal, the Frenchman recording his 63rd triumph in this competition.

The eight-time world champion left behind Estonian Ota Tanaka of Hyundai (8.7 seconds behind), while his teammate, Finn Kalle Rovanpera, took third place (12.2 seconds behind).

The top five included reigning world champion, Belgian Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), as well as Japanese Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota), while the current championship leader, Briton Elfin Evans of Toyota, finished in sixth place.

In the overall standings, after five races, Evans leads with 118 points, Rovanpera is second with 88 points, and Toyota's dominance was confirmed by third-placed Ogier with 86 points.

The next race is in Sardinia, from June 5 to 8.
