Opel Frontera Gravel
The Frontera Gravel is a show car that shows what an adventure version of this family SUV could look like.
Rougher, tougher, built for life off the road – that’s the feeling the Frontera Gravel gives. Designed by Opel in Rüsselsheim for its enthusiast community and built in collaboration with motorsport tuning partners BlackFish and XS, it’s fitting that the Frontera Gravel will make its first public appearance before the car enthusiast community at the XS CARNIGHT Wörthersee on May 30th.

“The new Opel Frontera already stands out. Robust, practical and perfect for families and everyday adventures. But with the Frontera Gravel show car, we have pushed the boundaries, imagining a tougher, bolder, pioneering version. This concept is designed to excite our fan base and test the demand for a bolder, more robust Frontera in the future. It is all about freedom, adventure, excitement and pushing the boundaries,” said Rebecca Reinermann, Vice President Marketing Opel and Vauxhall.
The Frontera Gravel is based on the electric production model of the new Frontera, enabling local emission-free driving and is therefore ideal for off-road driving. To cope with the tougher challenges of rough gravel and rocky surfaces, the Frontera Gravel sits on special Borbet CWE wheels measuring 7x16 inches.

On the outside, the distinctive color combination and foils evoke a sense of adventure and exploration. The matte black roof and hood are contrasted with a special ‘Desert stone’ foil, uniquely selected for the Frontera Gravel. For better off-road visibility, additional orange accents on the exterior mirror housings, front and rear bumpers, spoiler and Opel Blitz in black Opel Visor complete the bold and eye-catching look.
The more robust look is further enhanced by a front-mounted winch and towbar, side storage boxes and a robust roof rack, designed to maximize the carrying capacity of equipment for all adventures. Additional exterior lights are mounted on the Thule Canyon XT rack and hood, providing excellent visibility for night driving on rough terrain.
The bold yet robust theme continues in the interior. Here, the XS experts have introduced strong contrasts. The driver and front passenger can enjoy comfortable seats, upholstered in microfiber with bright orange details, while the roof lining is completely black.

Anyone who wants to be among the first to see the Opel Frontera Gravel live can do so in the coming days. At the XS CARNIGHT Wörthersee, which takes place from May 28 to June 1 in the vicinity of Klagenfurt, Austria, Opel and the XS team will present the show car to the general public for the first time – on Friday, May 30, in the Opel Hall at the Klagenfurt Trade Fair.
