Range Rover Vinile for 280,000 euros

The Italian company Vinile is behind the project to restore and modify the first generation Range Rover.

Among the few companies that are now engaged in restoring and modifying the first generation Range Rover according to a similar recipe is the Italian company Vinile, from which the first pictures of the restomod Range Rover have arrived, the premiere of which is scheduled for April.

The Italian company says that it will only deal with the first generation of the famous British SUV, whose body will undergo minimal visual changes, because the primary goal is the precise assembly and adjustment of restored factory body panels. Among the details, new two-tone fenders stand out, with wider A/T tires whose profile better fills the space under the fenders, and in the spirit of modern times, LED technology in the headlight housings.

As reported by Klix, the Italians decided to thoroughly restore the original V8 engine that develops about 200 horsepower.

Many more changes are visible in the cabin, which is dominated by light brown Alcantara, which covers the seats, roof and several other elements. Inspired by solutions in airplanes, the designers placed the window switches on the roof, where one of the engine start switches is also located. Also interesting is the placement of the analog (wrist) clock under the 10.1-inch display of the multimedia system (Sony), which comes with navigation and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto applications. The 10-speaker audio system is by Focal, and the three amplifiers are powered by Rockford Fosgate. 

This restomod Range Rover will be offered in only 15 units, and future owners will have to shell out 280,000 euros for their copy, which does not include numerous personalization options.
