The Tesla Cybertruck, with its futuristic design and stainless steel body, divides opinions, but that didn't stop it from becoming the best-selling vehicle over US$ 100,000 in the United States in the first half of 2024.
With this popularity, a booming market for accessories has emerged, and independent companies are taking advantage of the opportunity.
One of the most interesting new products comes from Space Camper, which has launched the Cap, an accessory that transforms the Cybertruck's cargo bed into a small motorhome or a more versatile enclosed cargo compartment.

In addition, it adds 13 cm of internal height, totaling 101 cm of vertical space inside the cargo bed.
By default, the accessory comes in glossy black, but can be wrapped in any shade to better match the owner's taste.
For those looking to transform the Cybertruck into a camping vehicle, the Cap is highly functional.
It is compatible with roof tents and awnings, and can be equipped with a mattress, LED lighting, wall storage compartments and even a projector, creating a mini-home-on-wheels experience.
For those looking for more comfort, Space Camper also offers a shower kit as an option.

Its aerodynamic design reduces the vehicle's range by between 4% and 9%, depending on driving conditions. The roof supports up to 122 kg when moving and up to 295 kg when the vehicle is parked.
Deliveries of the Cap will begin in June 2025, with prices starting at US$ 6,385. However, the optional extras considerably increase the final cost.
The ventilation fan costs $180, the custom mattress costs $450, the bed lighting costs $450, the wall storage costs $830, the projector kit costs $900 and the shower head costs $1,245.

For those who intend to use the Cybertruck as a work vehicle, there are accessories such as roof crossbars for $270 and organizer panels for $175 each.
With an estimated price of $24,000, production has been delayed due to financing issues, but the company plans to start manufacturing later this year.
In addition to the Cap, other companies are betting on the Cybertruck accessories market. The American Cybertruck Co offers a similar solution, with prices between $9,700 and $11,700.

For those looking for a more affordable alternative, Tesla itself sells an accessory called the Cyber Tent for $2,975, although its practicality is inferior to the options on the black market.
Despite reports of declining demand, Tesla sold nearly 39,000 Cybertrucks in 2024, ensuring a solid customer base for these accessories.
